Ice cream van hire in Redbridge
Battery-powered ice cream vans for Redbridge's parks, homes and family celebrations.
Redbridge combines the busy town centre of Ilford with the green, leafy suburbs of Wanstead, Woodford and Barkingside. It has a large and diverse population, many schools and places of worship, and some fine parks, with Valentines Park in Ilford at the centre of many local events. Family celebrations are a big part of life here: weddings, mehndi nights, birthdays, Eid and Diwali parties, as well as school fairs and summer community days.
Large family events often take place at home, in halls or in marquees, with lots of guests in a small space. A battery-powered van can stand close by without filling the air with fumes or drowning out music and speeches while we serve. Our freezers and soft serve machine run from the battery, so the engine stays off while we serve. That also suits quiet residential roads in Wanstead and Woodford, where neighbours would soon notice an idling diesel van outside.

Wedding ice cream van hire in Redbridge
Redbridge weddings often happen in banqueting suites and hotels around Ilford, Gants Hill and Barkingside, as well as in churches, synagogues, mosques and gurdwaras across the borough. Wanstead and Woodford are greener, with large houses, golf clubs and parkland near the edge of Epping Forest that suit summer garden receptions and smaller, more relaxed weddings. Some couples hold the party at home after a ceremony elsewhere.
Suites along the main roads usually have their own car parks, so getting the van to the door is rarely a problem. For garden weddings in Woodford or Wanstead, the van often parks on the road outside, so it is worth checking parking restrictions with the council. Because there is no engine noise while we serve, the van will not interrupt the speeches. ULEZ applies here, and our vans meet it without any fuss.
Redbridge: questions
- Can you serve at a wedding or mehndi in Redbridge?
- Yes. We can serve at homes, halls, marquees and wedding venues. The van is silent and fume-free while serving, so it can stand near the entrance or garden. Knickerbocker Glories and premium waffle cones are popular at weddings, and we can time the serving window around the meal or the dancing. See our weddings page.
- Can you come to Valentines Park for a party?
- Valentines Park is run by the council, so you would need their permission for a vehicle and food sales. Ask the council's parks or events team first, and allow time in summer. We can supply our insurance, hygiene and risk assessment documents to support the application.
- Do you cover Woodford and the Essex border?
- Yes. We cover all of Redbridge and the Essex towns beyond it. Distance is one of the things that affects a quote, along with hours, guest numbers and menu. See our Essex ice cream van hire page or send us your postcode and event details through our contact page, and we will reply with a tailored quote.
