Ice cream van hire in Hornchurch
Battery-powered ice cream vans, silent while serving, for Hornchurch gardens, parks, schools and weddings.
Hornchurch is a leafy suburb with a strong local identity. The parish church of St Andrew, with the bull's head and horns on its east end, gives the town its name, and the Queen's Theatre and Fairkytes Arts Centre keep a lively arts scene going. Emerson Park, to the north, is known for large detached houses and generous gardens. That mix means plenty of private parties, christenings and garden weddings, alongside busy primary schools and community groups with summer fairs to run.
A big Emerson Park garden is a lovely place for an ice cream van, but neighbours are close and voices carry. Our vans run the freezers and soft serve machine from the battery, so there is no engine running and no exhaust over the lawn while we serve. For park events, Hornchurch is well served: Harrow Lodge Park sits in the middle of town and Hornchurch Country Park stretches along the Ingrebourne valley. Tell us where you are and we will plan the route and setup.

Wedding ice cream van hire in Hornchurch
Langtons House is where many Havering couples marry, and the gardens behind it are a favourite spot for photos. Plenty of Hornchurch weddings then move to a family garden or a marquee in Emerson Park. With nothing running while we serve, the van can stand close to the tent without fumes and stay silent while the speeches run. Give us an arrival time a little before you want to serve, check access through any side gate, and ask the planner where guests will gather.

Hornchurch: questions
- Can the van come onto a private drive in Emerson Park?
- Often, yes. Many Emerson Park drives are wide enough, but gates, overhanging trees and steep slopes all matter. The van needs to stand level for the soft serve machine. Send us photos of the entrance and the spot you have in mind, and we will tell you whether the drive works or whether the road outside is the better option.
- Can you serve at an event in Harrow Lodge Park?
- We can serve at park events when the organiser has permission. Vehicle access and food sales in Havering's parks are managed by the council, so check with them first, especially for a summer weekend when parks are busy. We can send our insurance, hygiene certificates and risk assessment to support your application.
- What should we order for a christening party at home?
- A christening usually has a wide age range, so mix the classics with something a little special. Mr. Whippy cones like the Single with Flake and the Rainbow Sprinkle Cone suit the children, while a Boat Sundae or a Kinder Bueno Knickerbocker Glory goes down well with adults. Our christenings page has ideas on timing.
