Ice cream van hire in Eltham
Ice cream vans, silent while serving, for Eltham's parks, palace, schools and family celebrations.
Eltham sits in the south of the Royal Borough of Greenwich, with a High Street that has grown around a much older village. Its most famous landmark is Eltham Palace, a medieval royal palace with a striking art deco house added in the 1930s, now run by English Heritage. Bob Hope was born in Eltham, and the area's streets are a mix of Edwardian terraces, interwar estates and family homes.
Eltham has a lot of green space. Avery Hill Park, with its Victorian Winter Garden, lies to the east, Eltham Park North and South sit near the station, and Well Hall Pleasaunce has a Tudor barn and moat. Events here range from school fairs and children's parties to community days and weddings. Our battery-powered vans serve without an engine running, so there are no fumes near families queuing and no noise in quiet residential roads.

Wedding ice cream van hire in Eltham
Eltham has notable wedding settings, including Eltham Palace and the Tudor Barn at Well Hall, as well as golf clubs and halls across Greenwich and Bexley. Historic venues usually have strict rules on vehicles, so check where a van can stand. With the engine off while we serve, there are no fumes near guests or old buildings. Knickerbocker Glories and premium waffle cones look the part at a summer wedding.

Eltham: questions
- Can you serve at a wedding at a historic venue?
- Often, yes, subject to the venue's rules on vehicles. Historic sites usually say exactly where a van can park. Because the engine is off while we serve, there are no exhaust fumes near old buildings or guests. Ask the venue first, then send us the details. See our weddings page.
- Can we book a van for an event in Avery Hill Park?
- Parks in Eltham are managed by the Royal Borough of Greenwich, and events and trading need permission. Contact the council's events team first. We can provide our insurance, hygiene rating and risk assessment for your application. For a private party, a nearby garden or hall may be simpler.
- Can you serve at a school end-of-term party?
- Yes. Our vans suit schools well because nothing is running while we serve, so there are no fumes in the playground. We can serve for cash or work to a prepaid token system. The school should agree where the van parks. Read our school event ice cream guide. Tell us the finishing time so we are ready when the bell goes.
