Ice cream van hire in East Ham

Battery-powered ice cream vans for East Ham's family celebrations, weddings, schools and parks.

East Ham is one of London's most diverse towns. The High Street North runs past the grand Edwardian town hall, and nearby Green Street is known well beyond London for its South Asian clothing, jewellery and wedding shops. The Boleyn Ground at Upton Park, West Ham United's home until 2016, has been replaced by housing. Families here celebrate a lot: weddings, mehndis, Eid, Diwali, Vaisakhi, christenings and big birthdays, alongside school fairs and community days in the parks.

East Ham's streets are mostly terraced, and parking is tight, especially near Green Street and the High Street. A hall car park, a school or a park with an access road is usually the best spot for the van. Our vans serve with the engine off, so they can stand right by a hall door without fumes while we serve, and there is no engine noise over music or speeches. For council parks such as Central Park and Plashet Park, check with Newham Council about vehicles and food sales.

The main local park, with gardens, a playground and sports areas.

  • Plashet Park

  • East Ham Town Hall

An Edwardian civic building at the junction of Barking Road and High Street South.

Public spaces need the organiser to hold permission from the council or the site’s managers. We send the documents they usually ask for.

Wedding ice cream van hire in East Ham

Weddings in and around East Ham are often large and colourful, with events over several days and receptions at banqueting halls across East London. An ice cream van adds something relaxed to a mehndi or a reception, especially in summer. With battery-powered serving, the van can stand near the entrance with no fumes drifting inside while we serve. Check that the hall allows outside caterers and where the van can park, and tell us your guest numbers early so we can plan a menu that keeps the queue moving.

East Ham: questions

Can you serve at a mehndi or sangeet at home?
Yes. Home events before a wedding are a lovely setting for an ice cream van, and evening serving is no problem. The van needs a legal, level place on the road or a drive. Give us the start time and the rough order of the evening, and we will fit the serving window around food and dancing.
Do you have options for guests with dietary needs?
Ask us before you book. We will tell you exactly what is on the van and what we can and cannot provide, including ingredient details. Read our allergen information, and our guide to allergens at events explains how to plan for guests with allergies.
Can the van come to a school event in East Ham?
Yes. Schools are a natural fit, and our vans have no fumes and no engine noise near playgrounds while we serve. We can work to a prepaid token system so children do not need to bring money. Our hygiene, insurance and risk assessment documents are available for the school. See our primary schools page.
