Ice cream van hire in Brighton
Battery-powered ice cream vans for Brighton and Hove's weddings, parties, schools and city events.
Brighton and Hove is a seaside city with two characters. Brighton has the Royal Pavilion, the Lanes and the pier, with a packed calendar of festivals and parties; Hove, to the west, is quieter, with wide avenues, Regency squares and the long green strip of Hove Lawns along the front. Behind both, the city climbs into the South Downs, and two universities at Falmer add a student year of freshers' weeks and graduations.
We come down the A23 and M23 from our South Croydon base for weddings, birthday and garden parties, school fairs, staff days and community events across the city. Our vans keep everything frozen on battery power, with no engine running while we serve, which matters on terraced streets where the van stands right outside people's windows.
Event spots in and around Brighton
Preston Park
Brighton's biggest city park, beside the A23 into the city, and home to some of its largest outdoor events.
Stanmer Park
A historic estate on the city's northern edge, by the South Downs, with Stanmer House and open parkland.
Hove Lawns
Open lawns along the Hove seafront, used for summer events.
Madeira Drive
The seafront road below the cliffs in Kemptown, used for car shows, rallies and the finish of the London to Brighton runs.
Public spaces need the organiser to hold permission from the council or the site’s managers. We send the documents they usually ask for.
Wedding ice cream van hire in Brighton
Brighton couples marry at the Royal Pavilion, in seafront hotels, at Stanmer House and in barns and vineyards out on the Downs. In the city centre the hard part is usually parking: seafront hotels and town houses rarely have room for a van at the door, so check with the venue where a vehicle can stand. Out of town, the van can park by the marquee with no fumes or engine noise during the speeches.

Brighton: questions
- Do you travel as far as Brighton?
- Yes. Brighton and Hove are part of the Sussex area we cover, and the run down the A23 from South Croydon is a straight one. Travel is one of the things a quote takes into account, so send us the date, the postcode and roughly how many guests you expect.
- Can the van serve on the seafront or in a city park?
- Only as part of an event the council has agreed. Brighton and Hove City Council controls trading on the seafront and in its parks, and the seafront already has its own licensed traders, so a van cannot simply pull up and serve. If you are organising an event there, get the council's permission first, then send us the plan and we will provide our insurance and risk assessment.
- Can you come to a street party or a house party in the city?
- Yes, with a little planning. Many central Brighton and Hove streets are narrow and lined with permit parking, so the van may need a parking bay suspension from the council or a space on a drive or forecourt. Tell us where it could stand and send a photo if you can. If space is too tight, we will say so before you book.
