Slush
Definition
Slush is a frozen drink of flavoured syrup and water, churned in a chilled machine until it forms fine ice crystals. Served in a cup with a straw.
A slush machine holds a flavoured liquid in a clear, chilled bowl and stirs it constantly, so ice forms as small crystals rather than a solid block. The result is somewhere between a drink and a dessert, poured into a cup and drunk through a straw or eaten with a spoon. Bright colours are part of the appeal.
On a hot day slush often moves faster than ice cream, because it is quick to serve and very refreshing. It is a good companion to ice cream at sports days, festivals and school events where queues need to keep moving. Our Slush Mountain offers Slush Red, Slush Blue, Slush Green and Mixed Slush. In our experience it is the one that empties fastest when the sun is out.
