Prepaid tokens
Definition
Prepaid tokens are vouchers handed to guests in advance and swapped for ice cream at the van, so nobody pays at the hatch.
With a token system, the organiser covers the cost up front and gives each guest a token, ticket or wristband. At the van, guests hand it over in exchange for an item, so there is no cash or card at the hatch. Organisers can decide in advance which menu items a token covers.
Tokens are especially useful at schools, where children may not carry money, and at corporate events where the host wants everything to feel free to staff or guests. They also speed up the queue, because there is no change to count. We can work to a prepaid token system, for schools and other events. Ask about it when you request a quote.
