Ice cream van hire in Windsor
Quiet, battery-powered ice cream vans for Windsor and Eton: riverside parties, school events and weddings in the shadow of the castle.
Windsor is defined by its castle, the oldest and largest occupied castle in the world. The Long Walk runs south from the castle into Windsor Great Park, and the town spreads down to the Thames, with Eton just over the footbridge. Visitors fill the centre all year round, and royal occasions bring extra crowds. Legoland Windsor and the Royal Windsor Horse Show add to a very full calendar of events in and around the town.
Because the centre is busy and parking is tight, most of the private events we are asked about happen in gardens, schools, hotels and clubs on the edge of town, in Old Windsor, Datchet or Clewer. Our vans keep the freezers and soft serve machine running on battery power, so there is no engine noise and no exhaust while we serve. That suits a riverside garden, a school field or the lawn of a smart hotel where guests are dressed for the occasion.

Wedding ice cream van hire in Windsor
Windsor is a popular wedding town, with riverside hotels, country houses and Thames-side venues nearby. Some have strict rules on vehicles near guests or on their lawns, so check with the venue coordinator before you book. With no engine running while we serve, the van can stand close to the reception without fumes or engine noise, which helps during speeches and first dances, and suits photographs with the castle in the background.

Windsor: questions
- Can you serve in Windsor Great Park?
- Windsor Great Park is managed by the Crown Estate, which has its own rules on vehicles, events and trading. Any event there needs their permission. For a private picnic party, a nearby garden or private land is usually much simpler. Check with the park's managers first, and we will send any documents they need.
- Will royal events or the Horse Show affect my booking?
- They can. Big royal occasions and major events in Home Park bring road closures and heavy traffic to the town. If your date clashes, we plan a different route and an earlier arrival so the van is set up in good time. Tell us about any event you know of when you book, and we will check the local plans.
- Do you cover Eton, Datchet and Old Windsor?
- Yes. We cover Windsor and the villages around it, including Eton, Datchet, Old Windsor, Clewer and Dedworth. Some riverside roads in Datchet and Old Windsor are prone to flooding after heavy winter rain, and a few lanes are narrow, so tell us where the van could stand. Send your postcode, date and timings for a quote.
