Ice cream van hire in Wimbledon

Ice cream vans, silent while serving, for Wimbledon's gardens, offices and summer events, from the Village to the Broadway.

Wimbledon is really two places. Up the hill is the Village, with its old high street, pubs and large houses on the edge of Wimbledon Common. Down the hill is the town centre around the station and the Broadway, with offices, shops and the theatre. Each summer the Championships at the All England Club bring visitors from around the world, and the whole area gets busier, with road closures and heavy traffic around Church Road.

Events here cover a wide range. There are garden parties and children's birthdays in the Village and Wimbledon Park, staff summer days for town centre offices, school fairs and sports club afternoons. Many people here want something that looks good and does not disrupt the neighbours, which is where battery-powered serving helps. The freezers run from batteries, so there is no engine running while we serve on a quiet residential road and no fumes beside a marquee or office entrance.

Event spots in and around Wimbledon

  • Wimbledon Common

A large common with a historic windmill, managed by the Wimbledon and Putney Commons conservators.

  • Wimbledon Park

A public park with a lake, sports facilities and play areas, next to the All England Club.

  • Cannizaro Park

Formal gardens and woodland on the edge of the Common, beside the Cannizaro House hotel.

  • New Wimbledon Theatre

An Edwardian theatre on the Broadway in the town centre.

Public spaces need the organiser to hold permission from the council or the site’s managers. We send the documents they usually ask for.

Wedding ice cream van hire in Wimbledon

Wimbledon has hotels, golf and sports clubs and grand private houses that host weddings, plus easy access to venues across south west London and Surrey. Many hold receptions on lawns, so ask the venue where a van can stand on firm ground near the guests. Silent while serving, the van can sit close to the speeches. Premium waffle cones and Knickerbocker Glories make a good late-afternoon dessert.

Wimbledon: questions

Can you serve during the tennis fortnight?
Yes, but plan ahead. During the Championships, roads around the All England Club are closed or restricted and traffic is heavy across Wimbledon. Tell us your address and the date so we can plan the route and arrival time. Tennis-themed parties are popular then, and soft serve with a flake suits the mood.
Can we have a van on Wimbledon Common?
The Common is managed by its own conservators, not the council, and vehicles and trading on it are controlled. For any organised event there, check with the Common's managers first. A private garden or club ground nearby is usually simpler. We can send our insurance and risk assessment to help.
Do you do corporate events in Wimbledon town centre?
Yes. Office summer parties and staff treats are a good fit, and with nothing running while we serve, the van can park in a courtyard or service yard without fumes near the building. A prepaid token system keeps the queue moving. See our corporate events page and corporate event ice cream guide.
