Ice cream van hire in Streatham
Quiet battery-powered ice cream vans for Streatham's common, schools and family celebrations.
Streatham runs for a long way along the A23, from Streatham Hill in the north to Streatham Common in the south. Its High Road was once a grand shopping street, and it still has a mix of shops, cafés, an ice rink and leisure centre, and several handsome old buildings. It is a residential area at heart, with a mix of communities and plenty of young families in its Victorian and Edwardian streets.
Streatham Common is the area's best-loved open space. It slopes up towards Norwood Grove, has the Rookery's formal gardens at the top, and hosts the popular Streatham Kite Day each year. Events here include community festivals, school fairs, church events and birthday parties. The High Road is a red route, so the van always parks on a side street or a venue's grounds. Serving on battery power, it works without engine noise or fumes near guests.

Wedding ice cream van hire in Streatham
Streatham couples often hold receptions in halls, churches and function rooms across Lambeth and Croydon, as well as restaurants along the High Road. Check where the van can park, since the High Road is a red route. With no engine running while we serve, the van can stand by the entrance without fumes coming in. Premium waffle cones and the Boat Sundae make a good alternative to a traditional dessert.

Streatham: questions
- Can you serve at Streatham Kite Day?
- Traders at public events like Kite Day are arranged by the organisers. If you are organising an event on the Common, check with Lambeth Council about trading permission. We can send our insurance and hygiene documents to support any application.
- Where can the van park in Streatham?
- Not on the High Road, which is a red route. A side street, school ground, church car park or venue forecourt works well. Many side roads have parking controls, so tell us the address and we will plan the right spot.
- Can you serve a nursery or school event?
- Yes. Our vans are well suited to schools because the freezers run on batteries, not an idling engine, so there are no exhaust fumes near children. We can serve for cash or work to a prepaid token system. Read our school event planning guide for tips. The school should agree where the van parks, and we will arrive in time to set up before the children come out.
