Ice cream van hire in Kilburn

Battery-powered ice cream vans for Kilburn street parties, school fairs, family events and community days.

Kilburn grew up along the old Roman road that is now Kilburn High Road, which also marks the line between Brent on the west side and Camden on the east. It has long been home to a large Irish community, and today it is one of London's most mixed neighbourhoods. The High Road is busy all day, with buses, market stalls and shops, and the streets on either side are Victorian terraces and mansion blocks with young families and long-standing residents.

Events here are mostly community-led: street parties, school fairs, estate fun days and family birthdays. Queen's Park, just to the west, is the main green space, with play areas and a small farm. The Kiln Theatre on the High Road is a cultural centre. Parking is tight on most roads, so we plan where the van will stand. Our vans serve on battery power, so there is no engine noise and no exhaust in close residential streets while we serve.

Wedding ice cream van hire in Kilburn

Kilburn weddings are often held in churches, function rooms, community halls and restaurants on and near the High Road, with receptions sometimes moving on to Brent or Camden halls. Kerb space outside these venues can be scarce, so we look for a side road or private car park nearby. An ice cream van is a good choice for late-evening dessert. With no fumes while we serve, the van can stay close to the door.

Kilburn: questions

Which council do I ask about a Kilburn street party?
It depends on which side of Kilburn High Road you live. The west side is in Brent and the east side is in Camden. Apply to the right council for the road closure. Once it is approved, the van can usually park inside the closed section. See our guide to community events for more.
Can you serve an event in Queen's Park?
Queen's Park has its own managers, separate from the council, and events there need their permission. If you are organising a gathering, check with them about vehicles and trading before booking. We can send insurance and risk assessments to support your request.
Will the van fit in a narrow NW6 street?
We plan for it. The van needs a clear stretch of kerb roughly the size of a large van, plus room for a short queue. If the street is too tight, a side road, a school yard or a car park nearby usually works. Send us the address and we will check.
