Ice Cream Van Hire Hertfordshire
Ice cream vans that are fully electric while serving, for events across Hertfordshire.
Kreamy Delights brings ice cream vans that are fully electric while serving to Hertfordshire, from Watford and Borehamwood just over the London border to St Albans, Hemel Hempstead and Stevenage further up the county. Hertfordshire mixes busy commuter towns with country house venues, village greens and a lot of schools, and our vans fit all of them. There is no engine running while we serve, so no exhaust fumes and no noise, whether we are parked on a school field, beside a marquee or outside a studio building.
Borehamwood and the area around Watford are home to some of the country's best-known film and television studios, and an ice cream van makes a good crew treat or wrap party. We work to call times and studio site rules, and send our documents ahead for approval. Elsewhere in the county, the bookings are more about summer fetes, weddings, sports days and garden parties. Travel up the M1, M25 or A1(M) is part of the quote, along with the hours you need us and how many guests are coming.

Wedding ice cream van hire in Hertfordshire
Hertfordshire has a long list of country estates, manor houses, barns and golf clubs, with plenty around St Albans, Hertford, Harpenden and the villages towards the Essex and Bedfordshire borders. Many couples choose a marquee in the grounds of a family home, and the county's market towns have churches, hotels and old coaching inns for smaller receptions. Many venues sit within easy reach of the M25 and the A1(M), which helps guests travelling from London.
Estate venues usually have room to park but may ask the van to stay on a hard surface rather than the lawn, so we follow the venue's guidance. Country lanes can be narrow, and we plan arrival times so we do not meet guest traffic. The van serves silently on battery power, with no exhaust while serving, so it can stand beside the marquee through the speeches without anyone noticing it until the hatch opens.
Ice cream van hire in Hertfordshire: questions
- Can you serve at a film or TV studio in Hertfordshire?
- Yes, with the production's approval. Studios and location shoots have strict rules about vehicles and timing, so we work to the call sheet and send our insurance, risk assessment and hygiene documents ahead. A van that is fully electric while serving is useful near a set because there is no engine to switch off. See our film and TV ideas page.
- Which Hertfordshire towns do you cover?
- Watford, St Albans, Hemel Hempstead, Borehamwood and Stevenage, along with the villages and smaller towns around them. The south of the county is closest to London, but we travel further for the right event. Tell us your postcode, date and expected guest numbers for a tailored quote.
- Can you serve at an event in a St Albans park?
- We can serve at events in parks such as Verulamium Park when the organiser has permission for catering from the council. Trading in public open spaces generally needs approval in advance, so check with the council or event organiser first. We provide our insurance, hygiene rating and risk assessment to support the request.
- Do you cater Hertfordshire school sports days?
- We do. Sports days, summer fairs and leavers' events are a good fit. We can serve from the edge of the field once the races are over, and run a prepaid token system so children do not need cash. Our school event guide covers the planning in more detail.
