Ice cream van hire in Bow
Battery-powered ice cream vans for Bow's streets, schools, canalside parks and community days.
Bow sits between Victoria Park, Mile End and the River Lea. Roman Road and its market are the heart of the area, while the canals and the green ribbon of Mile End Park give it more open space than people expect. The Bow Quarter apartments occupy the former Bryant and May match factory, where the match women's strike took place in 1888. It is a mix of Victorian terraces, estates and canal-side flats, with plenty of schools, community groups and young families.
Bow's main parks are popular and permission for vehicles and trading comes from Tower Hamlets Council, so ask early if you want the van in Victoria Park or Mile End Park. Many local events are smaller: a street party on a terraced road, a school summer fair, a church fête or an estate fun day. Our vans run the freezers from the battery with the engine off while we serve, so there is no exhaust near the queue or the houses alongside.

Wedding ice cream van hire in Bow
Bow couples often celebrate in East London's character venues: canal-side spaces, warehouse conversions, pubs with function rooms and community halls. Some head to the riverside venues around Three Mills. Many of these have limited parking, so tell us about the access route, any bollards and where the van might stand. The van can wait with no engine running until the speeches finish, then open the hatch for dessert.

Bow: questions
- Can you serve at an event beside the canal?
- Towpaths are narrow and closed to vehicles, so the van needs to stand on a road or car park close by, with guests walking to it. Canal-side venues with their own yard or forecourt are easier. Send us the address and a photo of the access, and we will suggest a spot.
- Do you serve at street parties in Bow?
- Yes. Street parties on Bow's terraced roads are ideal for an ice cream van. Arrange the road closure with Tower Hamlets Council, tell us where it starts and finishes, and we will plan how to get in and out safely. Prepaid tokens are a good way to share the cost between neighbours.
- How long should we book the van for?
- It depends on guest numbers and the type of event. For a party of up to a few dozen, an hour or so is usually plenty. Larger school fairs and fun days often run longer. Tell us your numbers and plans, and we will suggest a sensible serving window. See our guide to how much ice cream you need.
