LEZ
Definition
A Low Emission Zone restricts or charges more polluting vehicles. London's LEZ mainly targets heavier vehicles such as lorries, buses and coaches.
A Low Emission Zone is an area where vehicles must meet emission standards or pay a charge. London's LEZ, run by Transport for London, covers most of Greater London and is aimed mainly at heavier diesel vehicles such as lorries, buses, coaches and larger vans. It is separate from the ULEZ, which covers smaller vehicles too.
Other UK cities have their own schemes, some called Clean Air Zones and some, in Scotland, called Low Emission Zones, each with its own rules. If you are booking a vehicle from outside your area, it is worth checking which scheme applies. Our vans are ULEZ compliant. If your event is inside another city's scheme, mention it when you book.
