Flake
Definition
A Flake is Cadbury's crumbly milk chocolate bar made from thin folded layers. A shorter version is the standard topping on a soft serve cone.
Flake is a Cadbury chocolate bar made by folding very thin layers of milk chocolate together, which is why it crumbles the moment you bite it. It has been made since the early twentieth century and is one of the best known British chocolate bars. Its delicate texture is also why it is usually sold wrapped, to stop it breaking.
Ice cream vans use a shorter Flake made for cones. Pushed into soft serve, it softens slightly on the outside and stays crisp in the middle, which is much of the appeal. On our menu the Flake appears on the Single with Flake, the Twin with Flake, the Tub with Flake and the Oyster and Screwball cones. Flake contains milk and may contain other allergens, so guests with allergies should ask us before ordering.
