The situation
In October 2026 a couple marrying in Guildford booked one of our vans for their wedding, with 200 guests on the day.
The challenge
Weddings are the booking where noise matters most. A van that runs its freezers off the engine has to keep that engine running, which is the last thing a couple wants during the speeches or near the guests.
A wedding also runs to its own timetable. The ice cream has to fit around the ceremony, the photographs and the meal, rather than the other way round.
Our approach
Our vans are fully electric while serving, so once parked there is no engine running and nothing to hear or smell. That lets the van sit close to where the guests are, rather than out of the way at the far end of the car park.
We work to the couple's running order and arrive in good time to set up quietly before service.
The outcome
Two hundred guests at a Guildford wedding, with an ice cream van that guests could walk up to without an engine running beside them. It went down a treat with guests of every age, and the couple were over the moon.
