Ice cream van hire in Sydenham
Battery-powered ice cream vans for Sydenham's parks, schools and family homes.
Sydenham is a residential area in the south of the London Borough of Lewisham, bordering Forest Hill, Penge and Crystal Palace. It grew after the Crystal Palace moved to the hill above it in the 1850s, and the area still has many large Victorian houses as well as later estates. Sydenham Road and Kirkdale have local shops and cafés, and the area has a strong community feel, with an annual arts festival.
There are several good parks. Mayow Park is one of the oldest in Lewisham, Sydenham Wells Park takes its name from the medicinal springs once found there, and Crystal Palace Park is just up the hill. Events here include school fairs, community days, birthday parties and garden gatherings. Our battery-powered vans can serve without an engine running, so there are no fumes in a playground or park and no noise for the neighbours.

Wedding ice cream van hire in Sydenham
Sydenham couples have churches, halls and venues across Lewisham, Bromley and Crystal Palace close by. Many local roads are hilly, so check that the van can park on level ground near the venue. With the engine off while we serve, there are no fumes near guests or open doors. Mr. Whippy cones with a flake, plus the Nutella Waffle for something special, keep a wedding menu simple.

Sydenham: questions
- Can you serve at a community festival in Sydenham?
- Yes. Community festivals and fun days are a good fit. The organiser arranges trading with Lewisham Council, and we work on the van's pitch, the queue and the menu. We can send our insurance and risk assessment. See our community events page. Tokens can work well too.
- Which council covers Sydenham's parks?
- Mayow Park and Sydenham Wells Park are managed by Lewisham Council. Crystal Palace Park, just up the hill, is in Bromley. Check which council owns the land before you plan an event. We can supply our documents for any application.
- Can the van serve on a hilly road?
- The van needs level ground, so very steep roads are a problem. A flatter stretch, a school ground or a car park nearby usually works. Tell us the address and we will plan a safe spot. See our booking checklist. With no engine running while we serve, the noise stays down for neighbours.
