Reigate is an old market town tucked under the North Downs. The High Street runs past the Old Town Hall, the castle grounds sit on a mound just behind the shops, and Priory Park opens out to the south with its lake and big lawns. Up the hill, Reigate Hill and Colley Hill give some of the best views in Surrey. It is a prosperous, family-focused town with a strong calendar of school fairs and community events.

Town centre parking is limited and the roads can be narrow, so most of the events we are asked about take place in gardens, at schools, at church halls or out at Reigate Heath. With the freezers and soft serve machine in our vans running from batteries, there is no engine idling at the kerb, which matters on quiet residential roads and close to young children at a school fair.
