Ice cream van hire in Hanwell
Battery-powered ice cream vans for Hanwell family parties, school fairs and summer events by the canal and the Brent.
Hanwell sits in the valley of the River Brent, west of Ealing. Its landmark is the Wharncliffe Viaduct, built for Brunel's Great Western Railway, which carries trains high across the valley. The Grand Union Canal climbs past the town through the Hanwell Flight of locks. Between them are parks, meadows and Victorian and Edwardian streets full of families, which gives Hanwell a village feel despite being well inside the capital.
Events here are mostly local: children's birthdays, school fairs, church fetes, street parties and the community carnival in summer. Brent Lodge Park, known to most families as the Bunny Park for its small animal centre, is a favourite for children. Roads off the Uxbridge Road are residential with on-street parking, so the van needs a clear spot arranged in advance. Our vans are battery-powered and silent while serving, which keeps a residential party quiet for the neighbours.

Wedding ice cream van hire in Hanwell
Hanwell weddings are often local and relaxed: a service at a parish church, then a reception in a church hall, a pub function room or a back garden. Some couples marry at Ealing's register office and come back to Hanwell to celebrate. An ice cream van fits well outside a hall or on the road by a garden gate. With no engine running while we serve, there is nothing to spoil the photos or speeches.

Hanwell: questions
- Can you serve near Brent Lodge Park?
- Events inside the park need permission from Ealing Council and the park's managers. For a private party, it is usually easier to have the van at a home or hall nearby. If you are organising a larger community event, we can send insurance and risk assessments to support an application.
- Can you come to the Hanwell carnival or a street party?
- For public events like a carnival, traders are booked by the organisers, so speak to them first. For a street party, the van can usually sit inside the closed road once the council has approved the closure. See our community events ideas page for planning tips.
- What do children like most from the van?
- The Rainbow Sprinkle Cone, the Marshmallow Cone and a Slush are the usual favourites. For a party, a short menu keeps things quick, and you can settle the bill yourself so children never need money. The full list is on our flavours page.
